Kathleen & Christina traveled from Toronto to get married in the beautiful mountain setting of Banff. Their dream was to have a Sound of Music themed wedding and everything came together perfectly to make that happen. The music from the movie played all throughout their day and the brides could even be heard singing the songs from time to time. The most amazing part of their themed wedding was when they surprised all their guests by performing the Laendler as their first dance – this is the dance that Maria and Captain Von Trapp dance together in the movie, when they first realize they’re in love.
There were many other personal touches to the day including the florals that were put together by Kathleen, the brides gloves that were both antique from their families and the cakes that were made by Christina’s parents.
From the moment I met these two, it was clear just how much genuine love and respect they have for each other. They know how to laugh together, cry together and support one other. So many kind things were said about them during speeches and toasts – it was very evident how much their friends and families care for them.
Congratulations Kathleen & Christina – thank you for asking me to capture your amazing wedding!
